To give a bit of an introduction: Hey, my name is Sarp. I am currently 14 years old and go to a distinguished school on Long Island, and next year I will be attending a very prestigious boarding school in New England. You might be wondering, "A kid?! How can a kid know anything about finance!?" First up , calm down, I can assure you that you are in good hands :) I have been learning about investing, finance, and money for almost 6 years now. My parents are both investors who have investing since before the 20th century. Thats basically longer than 300 years!

My parents worked day and night, learning English, watching the news about the stock market, and studying basic business skills. They did all of this while working low-paying jobs in a clothing business. (kind of funny fact: once, at a restaurant, my mom saw that the restaurant had turkey sandwiches and she thought that the sandwich was from her country Turkey!)
One lesson they taught me is that hard work pays off, and for them, it truly did. Through constant learning and determination, they became educated and skilled in investing. That’s why I believe understanding money should be simple and accessible to everyone.
Anyways, sorry for the little trauma dump, but, because of my parents story, this has fueled my determination to help others so they can too become financially literate.

Well because my dad came from China and my mom came from Turkey with very little money, basic English, and no understanding of American culture. They grew up poor, and for them, coming to America felt like winning the lottery. They knew they had to make the most of that opportunity.
